The Beastiary

For safety reasons, the Beastiary is located outside of the castle grounds proper. When one first approaches the school, a path veers off the main road leading up to the castle. Following this path into a forested area reveals a clearing where various creatures are kept in pens. It is the job of the Professor of Magizoology and their assistant, The Master of Beasts, to keep the beasts well-groomed and fed, preferably not on students. There are Bowtruckles, Fwoopers, Pygmy Puffs, Kneazles, Mooncalfs, Puffskeins, Jobberknolls, Fire Crabs, Runespoor, and Streelers here.

  • Magizoology Classroom
    Tucked along the edge of the Grounds is a long, low building used for Magizoology lessons. Made of timber and stone with wide doors that swing open to the grounds, the building is filled with stables and workshops. Inside, sturdy tables, storage cabinets, and padded enclosures hold the equipment needed for studying magical creatures, everything from harnesses and cages to enchanted gloves and saddles. Classes often spill outside, with students leading beasts from the Bestiary into the paddocks for closer study.
