Market Square

Market Square lies in the center of Brynwell, each of the districts coming out from it like spokes of a wheel. The broad stone plaza is fileld with some small gardens, sculptures and fountians, but is mostly dominated by the towering Floo hearth whose green flames lick behind ironwork filigree. Benches circle the fireplace, worn smooth by decades of chatter, breakups, reunions, and secret handoffs of contraband pastries. Vendors cluster along the square's edges, some in permanent booths, others unfolding their carts at dawn, selling everything from pocket-charms to roasted chestnuts that float into waiting hands. The soundscape is constant, pigeons, buskers, and the ever-present whoosh of someone stepping in or out of the Floo.

  • Floo to Diagon Alley
At the heart of the grand market square stands a towering stone fireplace built as both monument and gateway. Benches circle around it's wide base, where villagers often gather to talk, trade, or simply enjoy people watching. The hearth holds Wyrdlan's only Floo connection, its flames flickering green at all hours. A small automat stands beside it, offering one pinch of floo powder for one galleon. The green flames die down when someone steps inside the hearth. Doing so, throwing the powder, and speaking “Diagon Alley,” you are whisked away into the Leaky Cauldron in London. Penwick students are strictly forbidden to use the floo on school trips here, but that hasn't stopped many from doing so anyway.
