APPEARANCE
A twenty-year-old British man—with evident Somali descent—tall and athletic in build. He has rectangular features. He has rugged, hazelnut-brown skin. He possesses average, hooded, focused russet-brown eyes and average, arched eyebrows. He has short, well-kept, curly jet-black hair and average, rounded ears. He has a large upper lip and an average, Roman nose. He has a small, silver septum piercing.

PERSONALITY AND ATITUDE
Despite what his somewhat intense appearance may suggest, Gage is a far more caring person than most expect. Community-minded and hardworking, he is a man of the people; he will happily help common folk with their needs without expecting anything in return. He bears a magnetic quality, finding it easy to make new friends and oftentimes going out of his way to interact with new arrivals or those outside of his circle. He is deeply loyal to those he bonds with, also showing a surprising amount of empathy. He has a knack for knowing the true thoughts of others—a useful trait for a schemer like himself. Gage ensures that he always remains humble, never bragging about his abilities or accomplishments. He finds gloating to be a waste of valuable time. He would rather spend that time chasing up the next victory rather than celebrating one already past. Gage is also well-known for his deeply passionate nature. He oftentimes gets into emotionally-charged rants about the things that bother him. His code is his life; he lives by his values, never letting anything get in the way.

Like countless other wizards before him, Gage is brimming with ambition. However, he does not seek *personal* enrichment. Instead, he wishes to bring about a positive impact in the Muggle and Wizarding worlds alike. He often ponders how magic could be used for the benefit of those in need, such as those dwelling in third-world countries. His determination—or stubbornness, rather—is unshakeable; Gage does not yield. Even if outmatched, he will fight to the bitter end. Gage makes his disinterest and disfavour towards conformity plainly known. He is intrinsically iconoclastic, always seeking his 'own way' in his words. Gage has a bit of a sarcastic side, taking jabs at others as opportunities present themselves.

Gage is unambiguously destructive. From his perspective, the world is flawed; everything should just be torn down and rebuilt—no leaders; new systems. The boy is also quite a bit more intelligent than he lets on, but his mind is typically put to use coming up with all manner of schemes. He happily takes up any opportunities, bearing a bit of an open-door philosophy. His rebelliousness is oftentimes intense—so intense that it caused his expulsion from Hogwarts. He does not like being bossed around or patronised in any way, shape, or form. Though his determination can be an asset, it can also be one of his greatest flaws. He has a strong-willed nature, preferring to do things his way rather than submit to the whims of others. Additionally, if someone crosses him, he will not rest until they've gotten their retribution.

Quirks
His patience knows no bounds, so long as his goal is in sight. He'd rather die in a blaze of glory than live as a no-name. He loves giving others advice, even if it is rather poor. He has a fondness for the outcast and disenfranchised students of Penwick.

Bonds
Gage has a special relationship with music, believing it to be one of the greatest possible ways to express one's feelings in a non-destructive way. He believes that everyone should give it a go at least once.

Ideals
Fairness. The people deserve to be heard! Gage is fighting for fairness, as he believes that every person should have a chance at a good life, even if the Ministry would rather leave them in the dust.

Flaws
Breaks things when angry. He can and will use his charisma to get others in on his schemes. He has little respect for most conformists. He can be a bit confrontational at times.

APTITUDES

Agility | 5
Gage has never been particularly acrobatic, but his reflexes are decent.

Charisma | 10
Gage's Charisma is unambiguously his biggest advantage. Deception, manipulation, persuasion, social awareness—he has a good grasp on all of it. Making friends for him is quite easy in most cases.

Intelligence | 8
Gage is much smarter than most people think. However, he is not all that academically inclined, preferring to use his smarts for scheming purposes.

Physique | 6
Gage has *some* athleticism, but he is not particularly inclined to strenuous activities.

Spirit | 8
Gage's willpower (or stubbornness, depending on who you ask) is one of his greatest traits. That coupled with his courage and nerve makes him a rather formidable force.

Sorcery | 5
With Gage spending much of his early years studying magic goofing off, his casting abilities are a little underdeveloped for someone of his year. However, the potential for greatness is most certainly present.

FIRST ACCIDENTAL USE OF MAGIC
During a tantrum when he was six years of age, Gage experienced a magic surge that led to a nearby glass shattering. His guardians at the time were shocked.

BACKSTORY
Born on the 27th of September, 2010, in Manchester, Britain, Gage's early years were tough. The child of a college-aged mother who simply lacked the capabilities to care for a child, Gage was bounced from foster home to foster home. From a young age, he desired to *stand out* from the crowd. He never wanted to conform; he wanted to be his own person. His firebrand nature oftentimes caused him to get into trouble in his early schooling years. However, it also granted him countless friends. For all his troublemaking tendencies, Gage was as loyal as they come, sticking by his friends through thick and thin.

It was during his many *intense* moments that oddities—things nobody could explain—transpired. During a scuffle with his school's bully in the classroom, a nearby light bulb switched on of its own volition, only to glow brightly and then detonate. Another time, Gage was dancing to one of his favourite songs in his room. The next thing he knew, he heard the sound of breaking glass as his bedroom was shattered—all on its own. Things tended to *break* around him, especially whenever he was emotionally heightened.

With peculiarities constantly transpiring around him, it did not surprise Gage when he received his notice letter regarding his entry into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Confused as his newest set of guardians were, they were secretly glad to have some time away from their troublemaking son.

Gage spent his few years in the Wizarding World at Hogwarts, learning the basics of magic and making new friends along the way. However, even in this wondrous place, his old tendencies quickly shone through. Exploring forbidden rooms, inciting duels, working with Peeves to plan pranks—he did it all. Much of the faculty deemed him troubled. Some went a step further, declaring that he was indeed 'too chaotic to learn how to properly wield magic.' Soon enough, an event the student body had always seen coming occurred: Gage was expelled for his unruly behaviour.

However, in a last-ditch effort to foster his magical capabilities, he was sent to Penwick. Now navigating a new school, Gage finds his mind occupied with but one question: what kind of a stir can he make this time?
